It’s the Holiday Season and we hope to ensure every Anacostia family has a meal and gifts to open on Christmas Day.
Help us spread hope this holiday season.
The majority of us enjoy the Holidays exchanging gifts and sharing meals with family without worry. Unfortunately for many families in Anacostia, Christmas dinner isn’t even a possibility this year.ACP was created to try and help fill this void in the holiday season for as many Anacostia families as possible each year. ACP is connected with several schools throughout Anacostia who provide us anonymously with families in need. With the help of volunteers we are able to anonymously provide a gift to each family member as well as a gift certificate to a local grocery store. We have been fortunate through this project to help over 100 families, which amounted to over 400 Anacostia residents celebrate the holidays. We hope to continue to grow these numbers this year.The ACP Process
Agree to sponsor a family!
Receive a family form by Nov. 21st
Reach out to your friends, families and coworkers to sponsor members of the family you were assigned. Every family member gets a gift ($30 max) a $50 grocery gift card for the whole family.
Package all the gifts and coordinate delivery with us by Dec 10th at one of our drop off events and meet some other volunteers.

We will take care of coordinating so that your gifts are connected with the rest of the family.
Monetary donations are also helpful. We will coordinate utilizing your donation to help sponsor a family. Any amount helps!
